At By the Bean, we have had a tendency to enjoy the work of many of the roasteries in the South. Though it hasn't been purposeful, it seems like it's a shoe that fits. Coffee culture has always been strong on the West and East coast, but here in the Midwest and in the South, it's been a real building process. That being said, we are excited to be working with Seeds Coffee Company out of Birmingham Alabama, and we hope our customers are excited too. Come in and get a pourover or a bag of fresh roasted coffee all the way from Alabama.
Revelator Coffee Company is a small batch roaster with locations throughout the south including Birmingham, Nashville, and New Orleans. Though many people talk about great coffee's coming out of the Pacific Northwest, they don't realize how many companies are changing the game in some of America's cultural capitals. This is one of those game changers which is why we are offering it this month on our slow bar and at the ALMH Farmers Market. Try it out and let us know what you think.
Commonwealth Coffee is developing the kind of roasts that coffee lovers dream of. This month we are featuring their Kenya, and their Guatemalan beans (along with a Columbian Decaf). Both beans show a fully developed flavor with the Kenya having lemon notes throughout and the Guatemala showing the chocolaty caramel that the beans are known for. Be sure to come in and check out Commonwealth. You wont be disappointed!
Hip hop label Humble Beast Records operates this unique roastery. They offer two single origin coffees along with a blend and a decaf coffee. We have used their coffee for every thing from pour overs to nitro and have been impressed with the complex flavor offerings. Much more than a simple coffee, come try it out at our shop or at the ALMH Market this month.
